iHome smart plugs

Question

I wanted to go with HomeKit compatible products when I started building my smart home and sams club has the iHome Smart Plugs for a decent price

I just got Hue control to work with Cinemavision and now I'm wondering if there is any way to integrate the iHome plugs into the mix

a quick search for me didn't result in any sort of API that I could uncover but it did say I could connect it to a wink hub, amazon's Alexa, as well as Apple's HomeKit.   Is there a way to send a command to any of these that could then pass it on to my smartplugs?

i should also say I ended up with some work arounds in other parts of the home.  I.e.  Automation when a hue bulb goes on in the basement it  triggers the smart plug controlling a fluorescent tube fixture to turn on and when the same bulb goes out the outlet goes off

however right now I only have two hue bulbs in my Theater area and they don't go completely off till the feature starts. I'd like to control the outlet before that

Hey there! So from what I can find, there's no public API we can call for these things. openHAB doesn't even have a plugin yet. I did find this article written by a guy who exposed the API, which might help. As far as I know, there's no way for us to control devices using Alexa or the HomeKit directly.
