Hardware Platform Requirements?

Question

After years of putting it off, I've finally decided to build out a HTPC (or device) to leverage Kodi, and since I just finished building out a theater, CinemaVision along with it.  I've been looking at the idea of a device type build, something like the Odroid C2 with LibreELEC and Kodi running on it, but then I got to thinking about CinemaVision.  When it comes to the home automation stuff, are there specific hardware platform limitations?  In my case, I'd be using the URL calls to a SmartThings hub, but since LibreELEC on an ARM style processor doesn't even have browser capabilities, I started wondering if that would mean I couldn't use CinemaVision as well.  Is it possible?

CinemaVision (and all of the features included with it) will run like a champ on any platform that can run Kodi. The only real performance issues we've seen issues were issues with the fade effects during trivia on under-powered devices like old Pi's. All of the home automation requires a network connection, but that's about it. My only advice would be to build or buy a device that supports everything you want to do (i.e. 4k, 3D, etc.).

Good call with the Odroid C2 with LibreELEC and Kodi.  If I already didn't have a solution in place that would be the way I'd go at this time.
