Question

I am having an issue playing local trailers from a local directory on pc i have tried 4 different pcs and all bumper's and audio files and triva slides play but local trailers will not play . Youtube Trailers will play and Apple Trailer will play but no local trailers will play is there a PDF with instructions or You Tube Video with step by step walk through on how to configure local trailers. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Hey there! I'm actually working on writing a guide right now for that. If you only want local trailers to play, here's what you want to do:

  1. Open the Sequence Editor.
  2. Edit your Trailers Module.
  3. Choose Scrapers filter (scrapers) from the Edit menu.
  4. Disable all scrapers except CV Trailers Folder and make sure it's at the top of the list so it gets priority.

  5. Set Rating limit to None.
  6. Set Match feature genres to No.

Does CV play those trailers located within the movie directories?

It certainly does. Check out the guide below to find out how naming trailers works. If named properly, Kodi scrapes them in as trailers and they're added to your library and database. CinemaVision will catalog those trailers that when using KodiDB as a scraper.

Do you have your Trailers Module set to limit trailers based on genre or rating? That functionality does not currently work with the local trailers directory (and is on our list to fix). If you've got those settings defined, CinemaVision won't be able to match the trailers in that directory to your feature, and will skip the files. If you don't have those settings defined the trailers should play.
