Eventhough I'm not a CV specialist, as a first level of help I would recommand the following to be checked:

In the trailer section of the set up :

_ Item "Prefer unwatched over priority" must be activated

_ Item : "Source content order" : select "newest"

I hope this will helps.

Also, in the CV settings, make sure you have an online source selected for content in the Trailers section (I'm on the road, can't remember exactly where the setting is).  Once I switched that setting to iTunes, it started showing new and random trailers.

I have all of those settings currently set and my first post was vague but I am not looking for random trailers. I used to get trailers for movies that are currently on my media server but not it only plays the same 5 trailers for movies on the server

It's possible that you've watched all (or most) of the trailers that you have scraped into the CinemaVision database. I'd suggest clearing trailers watched status from the Trailers settings menu, as well as doing a content update to scrape in new trailers. If that's still not working, there may be an issue with your database. That can be reset from the Advanced menu, and then you can scrape everything back in with another content update.
