Conditions: external source

Recommended Posts

Heyho,

what do you think about to add a condition that checks if there is a video file within a kodi movie directory stored? In case there is only a .blueray textfile inside (source file on a disk) the condition might start an action that changes the video source on an AVR to play the file on a bluray player. So there is no need anymore to have two sequences that need to be selected manually before the movie starts (Sequence 1 in case file is located in the kodi dir and Sequence 2 if file is on a bluray disk).

Secondly, does anyone know if there is a way to start logitec harmony hub actions from within a CV action file? i.e. change AVR hdmi source and play bluray. Someone told me thats possible via Ifftt but i was wondering if thats possible directly.

kind regars, helge

I'm going to run this by our developer and see if he has any suggestions. This isn't something that CinemaVision is currently capable of, but it does make sense to do this along side 2D, 3D, TV etc. I'm not sure the Harmony Hub allows input externally, but I'll do a little research and see what I can dig up. If Logitech has a Harmony API we can talk to, I'm sure it's possible somehow.

Hey! Did anyone find out of its possible for us to write an action file that would trigger a logitech harmony hub?  Currently if I play a 3D movie, I have set up a condition that cinemavision knows which intro sequence to play. However, my projector does not always detect 3D and I have to manually switch into 3d mode. I would love If I can put an action command in the sequence right before the movie starts that will tell have my harmony hub to trigger 3d mode on my projector. I think someone may have mentioned running it through IFTTT? Either way but I think directly would be even better. Lets work on this! Can this be done?
