downloading zip files

im trying to install zip files on my nvidia shield but im having problems it says cant download zip files is there any guides please

Are you trying to download or install the zip file?

I have my shield shared on my network.  I then download the files on my computer and copy them to the shield's hard drive.  If you don't have that you can also use ES File Explorer:

BTW, if you have your shield on your local network and want to be able to browse to it from a Windows machine or via Samba, then you have to have Plex Media Server enabled and then go to Storage & Reset settings and enable Over Local Network. I learned this the hard way because I had the Plex Media Server app disabled and no longer had the setting.
