Question

I have install CV on Kodi 17.6 running the latest CV 1.1.1.a12. when I try to install the CV context file either from the repository or downloaded zip file I get this error.  CV Launcher The dependency on xbmc.python version 3.0.0 could not be satisfied. What am I doing wrong? BTW this is install on a windows 10 laptop.

That's an older version of Kodi.  I would suggest uninstalling CV 1.1.1.a12 and installing CV from the 17 repository.

OTA I uninstalled CV in both kodi 17 and 18 and tried to install from the repository and 17 gave me the same error and version 18.1 said that all the the dependence are not compatible with this version of kodi. I thought CV was working on 18.1? Any other ideas?

OK, so if it's showing that, something else has installed python 3 on your machine and added it to your system path.  Unfortunately, this means any fix I give you might break whatever on your system needs python 3 installed.

You can follow the steps on this page to check out your environment variables and see if you can remove whatever path you've got pointing to Python 3, but odds are it WILL break whatever installed it.

https://docs.telerik.com/teststudio/features/test-runners/add-path-environment-variables

Note:  Just follow the instructions on how to get to your system path environment variables...don't add the test studio installation path listed.
