Random CV crash

Question

I have random crashes of CV or at least I suspect CV to have problems.

Sometimes CV just exist to main page. Sometime is stops with black screen. The home button brings my to the home page.

Trivia - no problem (all local)

Trailers - problems some times (all remote)

Audio bumpers - problems all the time (all local)

Rating images - many problems (all local)

I need pointers to figure out if this is a CV, Kodi or my Setup, that is the problem.

kodi_crashlog_20210809175137.log kodi.log

Note - the crash log is from a different run then kodi.log.

script.embuary.helper & script.service.hue are returning the majority of the errors.  Every time it loads a video it is calling one of those and gets an error.  Can you disable those and/or try a different skin to see if the problem persists?

Hey @Kec2

Just as OTA has mentioned, i'd try using 1.1.1a12 for your 18.9 setup.  Another thing that I had noticed within the error log was this.

 File "/storage/.kodi/addons/script.module.metadatautils/lib/helpers/animatedart.py", line 81, in get_animatedart_db
                                                base_url = data.get("baseURL", "")
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get'

Make sure this addon and any addon for that matter are up to date.  Give that a try.  Another thing you could try to do is turn off trailers, trivia, bumpers, etc and then turn them on one by one and run a movie and if it crashes grab that log and we can look.  It'll help narrow down what the actual error is that you might be having.  Let us know how that goes and we'll hopefully be able to get you sorted out.

I have installed  1.1.1a12 and it works a lot better including HUE addon. 🙂

My LibreElec and addon are up-to-date.

Thanks for your help.
