Playing Movies over NAS

Question

First of all, much love to authors of this add-on and I must say, I don't start watching any of my movies with my family without this spectacular add-on...now onto my question:

I know CinemaVision doesn't work on streaming movies (eg Genesis) as mentioned on one of the posts here, but does it work on movies stored on NAS / SMB ?

I only store new movies my local hard drive, but I don't keep them there.  Once watched, I transfer them and store it over SMB for longer periods.  And sometimes we watch movies that are stored there, but of course I wanted to go thru with this add-on.

All my movies are stored on my media server NAS and I have no issues.  If it's in you KODI library it will play fine.

Well I have my NAS shortcut in the home screen on my Kodi. It plays the script fine but the feature movie does not play

You would need to set your NAS up as a source in Kodi and then scrape them movies into the Kodi Database. (Update Library) then it should work.
