Can CV automatically pause the movie half way. Like a dynamic intermission. Maybe to play a music file for a specific duration. I think it would be tricky to make but it should be a very nice feature.

Not yet, but that's something we have on the roadmap to add in round two of development!

It's still on the list, and pretty high up the list, but we have to build that framework into the CinemaVision Service add-on so the Kodi team allows us into the repository. The CinemaVision Service add-on is currently available as a development release, but that feature hasn't yet made it in. Right now, it does scheduling. The next two features to add are making CinemaVision the default play option in Kodi and dynamic intermissions.

Any updates on this feature?

Like automatically calculate 50% of the movie runtime, or pause the film at a certain pre-defined timer set by user through CinemaVision editor, eg 45 minutes, then pause the film, play a video-intermission-music or whatever and after that resume the movie?

That would be the final piece for my outdoor cinema experience!
