CinemaVision Kodi Add-on 0.0.48 Beta

Recommended Posts

This version adds a ton of functionality, fixes a few bugs, and changes the way we do some things. We now clean up streaming trailers when they're unavailable, and you can also determine how the trailers play by giving priority to new trailers, or even randomizing the trailers completely. Also new to this version is the ability to decide what the resume action should be. You can execute a specific action, or execute the last action that was run (to automatically set your scene back to its previous state).

We did change some of the guts in this version, so we recommend a complete reinstall and configure from scratch. You're more than welcome to back up your userdata\addon_data\script.cinemavision directory just in case you need to roll back. Most sequences should be fine, with minimal modification, but some settings from older versions that no longer exist will need to be changed if you do not start from scratch.

I've left the download of 0.0.47 up, because our developer is going to be at the Kodi DevCon until Sunday, and won't be available for bug fixes until next week. Please test out the new version, and let me know if you find bugs. If it's totally unusable for you, submit a log and reinstall 0.0.47.

Did a clean re-install like suggested and quickly rebuild my sequence from scratch. What can I say: it works.
No new problems (for me) comapred to 0.0.47 and as stable as before :D

And the new "resume-action" works like charme. I'm loving it. Thanks again for implementing this feature so quickly.

Only thing still not working is those "multiple actions within one CVACTION", but you already mentioned that this will be done in 0.0.49.

Nevertheless I've uploaded the corresponding old.log whith the none-working 2in1 action file (http://xbmclogs.com/pda04xcrz). See line 662.

And the log without the 2in1 action file (http://xbmclogs.com/pidw17vrh).

As well as the 2in1 action file attached. Eventually this might help.

That's more helpful than you know. I've added it to our list for our developer to review when he gets back from Kodi DevCon. Thanks so much for this!

You need to do a clean install of both add-ons, or you might run into issues with settings carrying over that no longer exist.

Can I talk you into uploading a log and posting a detailed description of what you're seeing in the support forum?

yep talk me thru it like a passenger trying to land a stranded aircraft xD

Sure! Go through the same steps you use to re-create your issue, then follow the instructions here for reporting bugs to upload your log. Then paste the link in your support post.

Are you trying to install the CinemaVision Launcher before you install CinemaVision? That will throw that error. Also, trying to install the CinemaVision Launcher in Kodi 14 will give that error.

You can create a custom directory and then for your Type in the Video Bumpers module, choose Directory. You'll be able to randomize the videos.

ok thanks ive been a bit of a dummy it hit me last night i suppose  for the single file videos i want played each time certain curtain certain intro  i can pick that as a standalone file right   see what i do is i have ripped game trailers i usually set it for 2 movie trailers and then a folder has game trailer  also nothing like seeing the potential of a game on big screen can you ad a game trailer site possibly  just an idea maybe throw it around out there it may increase interest a little more  and get cinemavision out there a little further  as you know most game trailers are cinematic now so they look great and sometimes  feel like a short film if there was a scraper for that in kodi somewhere  and also can we download the trailers yet instead of live streaming sort of like cinema experience   download while trivia plays  also the work that gamephoenix and polar do here with trivia is spectacular they deserve a pat on the back  see here in new zealand were i am we do not do trivia in cinemas  now someone is reopening my old cinema in 2 months time  and it is private  i was wondering to help you guys  i may see if there interested in the trivia as we all know thats were the money is made in cinemas people are not scared to buy food and miss the movie !!!!! so i was thinking of pointing them to  you or gamephoenix  if there interested and you guys may get a hell of a deal  plus would be great to see that stuff on the  main stream cinemas  as it  looks top notch stuff especially skyfall and quantum outstanding stuff  ive run it by polar but he said talk to you guys first see what you think!!!!!!

Just got the chance to talk to our developer about this. In looking at your action, we need to put a blank line between the two actions. If we don't, CinemaVision will likely not read it properly. Try this:

http://<user>:<password>@<kodi-ip>:8080/jsonrpc
{"jsonrpc": "2.0", "method": "Addons.SetAddonEnabled", "params": {"addonid": "script.kodi.hue.ambilight", "enabled":false}, "id": 1}

http://<hue-bridhe-ip>/api/<hue-user>/groups/1/action
PUT:{"on":true,"sat":255,"bri":250,"hue":45000,"alert":"lselect","transitiontime":20}
