Artic: Zephyr compatibility?

Question

I read somewhere that Artic: Zephyr has built-in support for CinemaVision but after installing the skin, I do not see a CinemaVision button when pulling up the movie information screen for a movie.

Do I have to manually add this button or do I need to reinstall CinemaVision after installing a new skin so that the CinemaVision button gets installed?

I know that support has been added, but I'm not sure if that version has been pushed to the Kodi repository just yet. Last I heard, support was only in the GitHub development build of the skin, waiting to push to the repository. If you're using Kodi 15+, I highly recommend the CinemaVision Launcher. You're of course welcome to download the GitHub version of Arctic: Zephyr, but I'm not sure there's mainstream support for it yet.

Hi buddy,

What is unique about the CinemaVision Launcher when compared to having built-in skin support via a CinemaVision button?

Yes, I'm using Kodi 15+ but I was using CinemaVision 0.46....

I will install everything from scratch using CinemaVision 0.48 this evening and go from there.

So the CinemaVision Launcher is a context menu add-on is actually one of my favorite features. If it's installed, you really don't need skin integration at all. When you hover over a movie, you can hit C to bring up your context menu. You'll see a CinemaVision button there. Depending on how you have the add-on configured to behave, it will launch our Queue Dialog which lets you do a few neat things:

  • Select the sequence you want to run (in case you want to play something different from the ones you have set as the 2D/3D defaults)
  • View, reorder, tweak and save your playlist (if you have multiple movies queued, this is useful for setting all of that up before you start)

Let me know how it goes, and check out the Launcher!
