Skip Past Trivia with SYBU or Similar Remote

Question

Hello! New to the forums here and I have a pretty specific question.

I am running Kodi off of a BananaPi Pro that runs Android OS. I have everything set up and it all is working perfectly except for one thing, I cannot skip past the trivia to get to the trailers.

Am using SYBU for the remote and if trivia is off the I have no problem using the next and back buttons at the bottom of the remote to move through the stages of my setup. With trivia on, during the slides the "next" and "back" buttons are completely grayed out and no other button allows me to skip ahead.

Has anyone else run into this issue or is there a workaround?

Thank you! :D

Consider this one solved. In order for the navigation buttons to not gray out you need to have background music playing in your trivia. This allows you to skip past the trivia if needed.

So I did some digging and it looks like the remote may dynamically enable/disable buttons based on what Kodi is doing. It may not see the image files used in trivia as actionable media because we don't use the slideshow to show the images. The architect of your remote software could add detection for CinemaVision if they wanted to.

That makes sense.

No worries though. It's a much nicer experience with the background music anyway. Thanks for looking into it!

Absolutely not a problem. Always happy to help. Thanks for supporting us! :D
