Question

Hi Everyone

New here I have recently converted my house lights to LED and controlled via an Arduino.  Http requests can turn the light on/off.  Can I send a http request "http:\\192.168.0.1?lights=0"

Sorry if this is in a guide somewhere and I haven't seen yet.

thanks

Jasemilly

You're close! Your slashes are backwards. In theory (depending on how their API works) you should only have to put one line in your Action File:

http://<ip_address_of_node>?lights=0

Do you have a link to the API documentation? If so, we can nail down the exact commands you need. For reference, here is a link to our Understanding Action Files Guide.

Let me know if you need any help! :D If you get it working, I'd love your help writing up an Arduino guide and some sample Action Files for everyone to use.

You certainly don't need to be an expert, we just need something that will help folks get up and running with a few examples. I'd really appreciate the help!

If it's not one thing... I'm sorry to hear that. Believe me, I know what a pain it is to reconfigure everything you've worked on. :( Let us know how it goes!
