Immersive Format Survey

Hi all,

Im currently undertaking a dissertation in surround sound formats and what the future could be for these. I've put together a quick survey (about 7 or 8 Questions) to see about peoples feelings are with these formats. It would be great if you could help and spare a couple of minute to fill out this survey. It would help me greatly and might just be interesting to have a look at the results for you guys too!

Survey taken! CEDIA was in my home town this year, so I got to witness first hand every advancement in immersive formats. My personal opinion is that DTS:X is going to win out. Atmos is a close second, but they rushed it to market and it's still not as polished as it should be. The Auro-3D demo was awful. It's like listening to a new Metallica album. They just turned the volume up on everything and decided that was the way it should be. It wasn't very balanced, and was almost an assault on your ears. That might just be the demo they ran, and not the technology.

You'll probably have a lot of luck getting people to fill out the survey on AVSForum.com. We don't get that much traffic, yet. I'm also going to split your post into a new thread and put it in General Discussion so that we can get more eyes on it. Good luck!
