Itd be great if you could save presets by genre. Dont know if its already a function and im just terribly new, but if its not that would be fantastic. Seeing as kodi seperates movies by genre, maybe integrate CV to do the same when watching movies.

Best way to do this imho is to create your own collection of sequences. That way you can customize the music, bumpers, actions etc. for each sequence you make. Soon you'll even be able to set up each sequence to use a specific trivia folder as well. I have about 20 different CinemaVision sequences I can pick from -- a couple are great for family-based movies, a few were made for action movies, others are perfect for sci-fi, fantasy and mystery. Depending on the time of the year I even have a couple that are geared towards Halloween and Christmas. This way you have much more flexiblity in choosing which one you'd like to run yourself instead of letting CV run a generic "Action" or "Sci-Fi" or "Thriller" or "Mystery" or "Comedy" sequence, for example. The developer could create a few individual folders I'm sure for genre-based sequences, but I think you'd still need to create them and put them there yourself anyway.

We just outlined a feature that will allow you to set customizable default sequences based on criteria like genre, rating and so on. ;)

When is this coming?

The redesign of our Sequence engine is one of the first things on the list as soon as our developer is free from the tyranny of another paying client. :) Allegedly, that's soon, but I don't have a date. I do know that whatever he's developing is either very close to, or in beta and he should be changing gears to CV soon. All I can tell you for sure is that we're ready to go the second he's available.

is there an update on this?

Yep! Conditional sequences are available in the latest development release.

The interface is not our final vision, but we need folks to help us iron out the bugs in the core functionality.

Will this include movie trailers we've downloaded in the directory not from iTunes anytime soon?

That's one of the top items on our list.

I am interested in this. I understand that it is already developed but I suppose I am confused on how it works. Are multiple sequences still needed? I would like Halloween bumpers to be played during October, Christmas ones to be placed during December, etc,
