How I am start the sequenz with the movie?

Question

Unfortunatly I have a problem to start a movie in the sequenc.

KODI Version 15 / Skin Aeon Nox

I done the following steps:

  1. Activate CinemaVision

  2. Create the General folder structure

  3. Copy for example my intro video to the right folder (first I would like to make a small step to see how everything is working)

  4. Update the content in Cinema Vision

Then I do not know exactly how the sequence with the main movie starts? I try to put the movie into the playlist and then play the sequence without any success. I also do not find any additional button on the movie to start directly with CV.

After the sequence is finish Kodi is going to Exit automatically?!?

Thanks in advance,
Peter

This turned out to be an issue with the default HiMedia Player which currently doesn't launch the same way that the default Kodi DVDPlayer or DSPlayer work. HiMedia will need to update their code to support CinemaVision the same way that the developers of DSPlayer did.

Hey Peter! So there are a few ways to launch CinemaVision.

Launching CinemaVision from Inside the Add-on
Install the CinemaVision Add-on from the Kodi Repository using the instructions above. Queue a Movie or TV Show to play, and then follow these instructions:

  • Settings
  • Add-ons
  • My Add-ons
  • Program Add-ons
  • CinemaVision
  • Launch
  • Hit C to open the Context Menu
  • Play

Launching CinemaVision from the Movie Information Screen
This method requires your skin to have built-in support for CinemaVision. Install the CinemaVision Add-on from the Kodi Repository using the instructions above, and then follow these instructions:

  • Browse to the Movie that you want to play using CinemaVision.
  • Bring up the Movie Information screen.
  • Press I on the keyboard.
  • Or press C on the keyboard to bring up the Context Menu, and then choose Movie Information.
  • Find the button labeled CinemaVision, and click it.

Launching CinemaVision from the Context Menu
Install the CinemaVision Add-on from the Kodi Repository using the instructions above, and then install the CinemaVision Launcher Add-on from the Kodi Repository using the instructions above.

  • Either queue several movies, or put the focus on the single movie you'd like to play.
  • Hit C to open the Context Menu.
  • Select CinemaVision.

Let me know if you have trouble. Everything else you're doing looks right. When the sequence finishes, it just takes you back to your Kodi Library.

Thanks for the information!

After installing the CinemaVison Launcher I found the CinemaVison button in the Context Menu from the movie. After pressing the button a special Cinemavision windows pop up where I can select the movie and push the play button. So, I am a step forward! :-)

But after the selection the sequence is playing without the movie?  For me it is also strange that when the sequence is finished the Kodi have an automatically exit and I am on my Mediaplayer menu (HiMedia Q10).  I am not anymore in Kodi. I have to start Kodi again.

Do I forget something to install or miss some settings?

Thanks in advance,

Peter

How do you have your Sequence configured? What Modules do you have in it? Make sure that you have a Feature Module in your Sequence, or the Sequence won't play the movie that you've queued. Could you post up a log of you doing a content update, and then running your sequence? That will give us more information to go on.
