How does CinemaVision recognize THX content for audio bumpers?

Question

Hi,

I was wondering about THX which is not a format in itself but rather a quality label, I can see there is a file in audio format for that, but what is currently triggering it ?

Thanks

Guillaume

THX is currently something that you have to set the Audio Format Bumper Module to in order to display it. The idea was that if you had a system that was THX certified, you'd simply set up an Audio Format Bumper Module and set the Method to Choose format, and the Format to THX. Since your system is always going to be THX certified, that seemed to be the best way to support it. You can, if you choose, have multiple Audio Format Bumper Modules in one Sequence.

Ah yes of course, make sense.

I was oriented in the way that sometimes the content (Bluray) can be certified but the way you design it was device / material related, but that'fine.

Moreover, I lost the fact that we can both set audio format from the format you choose or you can let the system display the audio format according to audio the format of the film (Hey I must I really like this one !)

Anyway, I will include a THX sequence because...  it just makes me happy ?!

I found out this cinema vision addon this last week end, and that's really an amazing job, on my must have list definitely!

Thanks

Guillaume

As far as we're aware, THX isn't something we can detect either way it goes. Maybe it will be something that gets added in the future, like DTS:X and Auro-3D. Really glad you're enjoying the add-on!

My thought has always been if you have THX certified equipment then include the THX bumpers
