It's been a long time coming, but the dust has finally settled and we've opened the doors! We'd like to thank everyone who contributed and subscribed in the past, because they made everything you see here possible. We've been hard at work for the past several months moving hosts, moving domains, and setting up this new community website. Here's too much information, for those who are interested...

The Way We Were
When CinemaVision was still two separate projects (Cinema Experience Slides & Trivia, and HT SlideVision), both of those projects lived on Google web pages. When the bandwidth outgrew what Google gave us for free, we were forced to move to actual web hosting. We combined the two projects as CinemaVision and spin up a new website with the intention of making a singular space where all of the home theater preshow content that anyone made could live. It worked for a while, but some of you might remember all of the bandwidth limitation issues we were having with the website. As our membership and interest in what we're doing grew, we outgrew our hosting. This happened pretty regularly for about 5 months. On the old website, we were limited to using Google Drive to host all of our files, which created some confusion and has the potential to get very expensive as our content library grew. None of that is a problem anymore. For comparison sake, here are the specs on our old host:

• 10 gigabytes of bandwidth per month
• 1 gigabyte of  locally hosted storage
• 60 gigabytes of Google Drive storage

The Way We Are Now
Our partnership with EmuMovies paid off in a big, big way. Circo not only helped us design some of the new content that you see on this site, he also brought us (and several other community projects) into his hosting environment. Here are some of the specs of the new host:

• 50 terabytes of bandwidth per month
• 4 terabytes of locally hosted storage

To top it all off, the storage can be scaled up as we grow, and every bit of it is backed up. The new website has a ton of new features including a support portal, billing details and history for any and all CinemaVision purchases, a full featured community forum and a new download section.

The support forums are all Question & Answer forums, where the best answer to a question will be marked and moved to the top of the forum so that it's easy to find an answer to a specific question. It's ever-evolving, but we think we've managed to build something that will last a long, long time.
