Configuring Cinema Vision with kodi on fire tv

Question

Hello I have purchased the $50 plan from you guys as well as installed the cinema vision addon in kodi running on my amazon fire tv. I have followed every YouTube video I can to try and get it to work. I'm having a hard time. For example in every video their showing you how to choose your content path from within the cinema vision app. I know they are using a computer because their in their c drive in which I don't have one on the fire tv. I would be willing to pay if some one could assist me with getting this to properly work on my fire tv

Hey there! Thanks so much for the support! This guide should walk you through installing and configuring CinemaVision to fit your needs.

Make sure not to skip over the Set Up Your Source section. If you're unable to write to the local storage on your Fire TV, it might be locked. Some Android devices have their local storage locked, which means you'll either have to find a way to unlock it, which might void warranty, or use a network share to connect your Kodi to, and use that network share to store all of your CinemaVision files. I don't have a guide set up for the network share because every solution is different, but if you lean that direction let me know what you will use to serve the share and I'll do my best to help you through it. When you choose content, you'll want to remember that the Fire TV does have limited internal storage. We do our best to optimize our videos, but sometimes that's not enough. That's actually why we offer 480p files at all, to save storage for those with limitations and improve performance. Using a network share that your Fire TV streams from over the network is a good way to get around that device limitation.

I appreciate your promo reply. I fail to mention that I do have a Mac mini hook to my network and my tv in my theater room. And in fact that is where all of my content that I have downloaded from your websites is. I have everything store in a folder called Cinema Vision. How do I get kodi which is installed on my fire tv to see the files that's on my Mac mini. Both are hard wired to Ethernet ports behind my tv.

Yeah, of course! I found a wiki article on the Kodi Wiki that should help you with setting up that SMB file share. Once your file share is configured, and the proper permissions set, you'll have to add it as a media source in Kodi. Here's another article that outlines how to do that.

Hello I have followed every step and I was able to add a source in which it's showing on my fire tv in kodi that my shared folder from my Mac mini is there. In fact I can go in the folders and play bumpers, trailers etc. The part that I'm stuck on is inside the CV widget under content where the content path is, once I click on that I do not see my CinemaVision folder.
