Cinemavision into Yatse, the Kodi Remote

I've been using Yatse alot which is a Kodi remote you can use with your mobile phone.

The problem is that it's hard to launch Cinemavision with that remote.

I've been in contact with the creator of Yatse to see if there's a way to implement this but his response was that he have been in contact with the author of Cinemavision to receive the proper API but he never heard back. Is that something that can be considered?

Hey there! I do remember that, but I thought we'd added everything he needed. Everything developers and skinners need to be able to interface with CinemaVision is in this guide:

Can you shoot that to him and see what we're missing? It might be helpful to have him register here and work in this thread if he needs something specific.

I worked with him before getting Google Music to be shared to a skin.  I've been a user of Yatse for years as well.  Was just curious as to what you mean its hard to launch?  You should be able to hit the good ol hamburger button to open the context and select Cinemavision on a movie.  That of course would mean you would need to have the Cinemavision Launcher installed.

What I mean is that in Yatse when displaying the left menu and browsing through the movies it would be nice to launch cinemavision directly in the Yatse app without having to bring up the context menu in the Kodi app.

Now you have to use the remote and navigate through the Kodi app to start cinemavision using the launcher. I would like to launch cinemavision without taking my eyes of my mobile phone where Yatse is installed.

It's kind of hard to explain but I hope you understand what I mean.

I have given the developer of Yatse the proper information  now anyway so I hope he consider implementing it in a future version of Yatse.

I get exactly what you mean and that would be a great addition to the remote.  With the guide Ragnarok provided it should be simple.  The developer is very open to adding things and listening to feedback so I would hope this is something he adds.  Great suggestion!

Hey guys! Does anyone know if yatse ever integrated CV control into their app? Or for that matter are there any reliable remote apps that have CV functionally integrated into it?

yeah, would be great!!

 

constellation for xbmc supported cinema experience. this doesn´t work anymore.

it would be a great benefit for the home cinema experience if i could use my ipad mounted on the wall to start my pc with kodi, select a movie and play it with CV. The first action could change to the right inputs and open the curtain........
