The Big Picture
At the end of this guide, you'll be able to upload logs for us (or any other Kodi add-on developer) to use. CinemaVision is constantly evolving, getting better and more feature-rich with each release. That said, issues, errors and bugs happen. Reports can be made either in the CinemaVision thread on the Kodi Forums, on the CinemaVision Forums, or in a Support Request. To report an issue, error or bug, please follow the steps below. Since we can't fix the problem if we can't understand what's happening, please be as detailed as possible in your description of the problem. A debug log is ALWAYS required, along with the steps needed to re-create the issue.
Using the CinemaVision Pastebin Log Uploader
We've included a built in log uploader using Pastebin to make it easier for users to report issues. To upload a log using the CinemaVision Pastebin Log Uploader, follow these steps:
-
Close and reopen Kodi or restart your HTPC.
-
Open the CinemaVision Add-on Configuration.
-
Scroll down to Advanced.
-
Enable Debug logging. (VERY important!)
-
Reproduce the issue you're having, or the error you're receiving.
-
After the error occurs, open the CinemaVision Add-on Configuration.
-
Scroll down to Advanced.
-
Select Paste my kodi.log to pastebin.
-
Input your Pastebin account information if you have one (this makes it easy to keep track of your pasted logs)
-
Paste the website address of your log along with a detailed description of your issue and steps to recreate it in in the CinemaVision thread on the Kodi Forums, on the CinemaVision Forums, or in a Support Request.
Important Note: If Kodi crashes or freezes completely, make sure that you upload the old log file as well as the new one, and supply links to both logs in your post or support ticket.
Using the Kodi Log Uploader Add-on
If you prefer to use the Kodi Log Uploader Add-on to upload your logs to XBMCLogs.com, follow these steps:

Install the Kodi Log Uploader Add-on from the official Kodi Repository.
-

-
Open Settings.
-
Select System.
-
Scroll to Debugging.
-
Enable Debug logging. (VERY important!)
-
Reproduce the issue you're having, or the error you're receiving.
-
After the error occurs, launch the Kodi Log Uploader Add-on.
-
Paste the website address of your log along with a detailed description of your issue and steps to recreate it in in the CinemaVision thread on the Kodi Forums, on the CinemaVision Forums, or in a Support Request.
Important Note: If Kodi crashes or freezes completely, in the Kodi Log Uploader Add-on Configuration, make sure to enable the value that uploads the old log file as well as the new one, and supply links to both logs in your post or support ticket.
