2 pointsThere doesn't seem to have been any definitive answer given to this. I read that the developer was dealing with some personal issues, but there has never been any update. Kodi 18.1 is out and the last release works, but has some issues. Can anyone let us know the status? CinemaVision is the best tool of it's kind - I'd be very sad to see it let go. Thanks!
1 pointJust to follow up on this, it turns out my particular issue because I was remoteing into my media machine with GotoMyPC while playing around with the configuration, something about the virtual display was causing the lag between items in the sequence. Once I watched it locally on my regular projector the gaps were not there, so overall everything is working as it should.
1 pointSo throwing this out there in case there is some simple fix. Here is the error that is preventing CV 1.1.1a8 from running with the latest Kodi 18.1 -- from my log: 2019-03-06 11:03:12.846 T:59608 NOTICE: [- CinemaVision -]: Version: 1.1.1a8 2019-03-06 11:03:13.732 T:59608 NOTICE: [- CinemaVision -] (API): Rating Systems: 2019-03-06 11:03:13.732 T:59608 NOTICE: [- CinemaVision -] (API): MPAA: [G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, NR] 2019-03-06 11:03:13.732 T:59608 NOTICE: [- CinemaVision -] (API): FSK: [18, 16, 12, 6, 0] 2019-03-06 11:03:13.732 T:59608 NOTICE: [- CinemaVision -] (API): DEJUS: [18 Anos, 16 Anos, 14 Anos, 12 Anos, 10 Anos, Livre] 2019-03-06 11:03:13.732 T:59608 NOTICE: [- CinemaVision -] (API): BBFC: [R18, 18, 15, 12, 12A, PG, U, Uc] 2019-03-06 11:03:13.935 T:34620 ERROR: Control 201 in window 13001 has been asked to focus, but it can't At that point, it just stops. An ESC will get you out - but it just hangs there with a black screen. This is Kodi Leia 18.1 64bit with Cinemavision 1.1.1a8 running on Windows 10 (although the same behavior can be observed on Firestick, FireTV and a Shield - I haven't looked, but assuming the same error.
1 pointPart of my reasoning for reaching out (beyond my own selfish reason of wanting the plugin to work again) is that maybe the developers/partners think that interest has waned because of the lack of interaction and updates on the site and in the Kodi forums. I just wanted to reassure, if anyone is listening, that we are all still very interested. Speaking for myself, I know that they sold "lifetime" memberships, but I'd be willing to pay another upgrade fee just to get it functioning with the latest Kodi. Otherwise, I guess I'll back down to Kodi 17.6 - I just don't know if that's possible, once the database has been upgraded. I've got the sneaking suspicion that I'd have to kind of start over and rescan everything from scratch - so I'm just hoping it doesn't come to that. If ANYone who monitors these boards have any knowledge of the status - please let us know. Thanks again...
