  1. Correct, just something that I hadn't tried yet, and thought that i would to see if it would work. ...I knew it wouldn't but thought i would try anyway.
  2. So After this post I said (what the hell) and tried to update from cv ver 111a10 to ver 1.1.1 from the Kodi Repo and now i just get a black screen whenever a sequence plays. I don't think it's just me. I think this add-on is programatically broken. I appriciate your help in continuing efforts of support for this OTA, but at the end of the day you are not the DEV I paid for this software to support and continual development of this add-on....this is a prime example of the reason I have reservations about paying for dev'ed programs from indie developers ....they get the money and then just end support and slap all the users in the face who supported it. Perhaps there is a reason for the dev to be AWOL, but as an end user, I don't care. If there is an option to have my money back for this, I would like to chase it because this program is useless and for those it still does work correctly for it is only a matter of time until it becomes useless for them as well; consequently rendering any downloaded content from this site useless as well. I have wasted far too much of my time trying to get this to work and I'm done with it....not angry, just filled with apathy towards it. Now the question is, Does anyone know an alternative to CV that would perform the same (or Similar) Functionality for video sequences? I'm looking for a workaround at this point. *update* still refusing to admit defeat... I reinstalled 111a10 and followed the install directions on another forum post. after the reinstalling, the queue editor somehow became re-enabled so i was able to see what sequence was populating. I've been able to all but confirm that the issue exactly starts when even a single sequence has "Auto-selection" enabled and or criteria set on any level. If I leave autoselection disabled on all sequences and select the sequence from the queue editor after selecting a movie, everything works...seemingly consistently. I do not think this is a "me" issue, I am all but certain this is a program issue. so that piece is broken.
  3. After my last dive when trying to set up CV I figured out the issue to a point where i was just frustrated enough to table it for a while and circle back later, now is later and perhaps i had forgotten everything i learned last time. After some more tinkering with it tonight I believe it's not a video issue...it's with the auto-selection conditions.....again.....I just absolutely do not understand the logic involved when setting conditions...which is really sad because this seems like a pretty strait forward and basic thing to do. If i turn auto-selection on every sequence and let it roll, it works and i get the default 2D sequence....which does make sense because the program would just be selecting whatever defaults are available and running it. However, when i Enable auto selection on just one sequence and set the condition to be based on a single tag (for example, and the movie does in fact have that tag) everything breaks...no default sequence, no movie specific sequence, nothing. example being Movie: Star Wars Tag: _CVStarWars I just simply don't get it, I would like to think it's the code that's flawed and not my thinking, but i just really don't know, this is driving me insane. sorry for the rant...it's just that this seems so freaking simple and should not be this difficult to understand, but it is.
  4. I don't understand why this is happening, but I have downloaded a 4k Christmas video from this site, when i try to launch a movie it throws an error and says check the logs.....the weird part, is that other (non-4k) video files work. Why would this happen? Here is what i see in the Kodi.log file after running the video 2020-12-09 08:26:28.369 T:27980 WARNING: XFILE::CWin32SMBDirectory::ConnectAndAuthenticate: Can't connect to "\\Aries\tvtunes.nfo" without username and without password. 5. yep, I was pretty much experiencing the same behavior where it would just skip the trailer altogether. I think maybe i could leave kodi trailors enabled for movie trailors that I already have...which seems pointless imo...but if the end result ends up flooding possible content with only animation based movies when expected, then i guess that could be considered a win. Either way, happy for this to be considered sorted now since i'm getting successes where i expect them and failures where i expect them......still not sure what the hell was going on before, but whatever, it's working now I really wish there was a way to segregate gene content on a persistent basis that says "even though this move has genre classifications x, y, and z it is being played from the action library at this time; therefore, play the action trailer/sequence". probably easier said than implemented...but that's my idea.
  6. After completely rebuilding my kodi setup and really the only major change was changing from the MQ7 multi-mod skin to the MQ8 multi-mod skin (which has presented a NEW set of problems; That I'm leaning on the skin modders on the kodi form pretty hard to fix their broken ass mod releases) , i believe this is working as it should now. I still get some wonkey results when selecting an animation movie, but i highly believe that it is due to the fact that i have "Match Feature" and Match Genre" enabled, and i have multiple genre tags ...so for example when i select The Lion King, i would expect to see an animated trailer or a cartoon trailer of some sort, but instead i get an action movie trailer regarding bank heists and what not. If anyone know of a way (aside from deleting extra genre info from the .nfo's ) to narrow the skope of trailer selection, I am all ears. But as far as an actual issue being present, I believe this has been resolved.
  7. quick note, I have been using the Aeon MQ7 Multi Modded build. due to it's all around instability, I'm currently in process of rebuilding kodi almost 99% from scratch, with the exception of the base-install. I'm upgrading to MQ8 multi-mod skin, after i get things re-set up (i'm about half way now) I'll reinstall CV and see if it sorts itself out from there.

Maybe something else remarkable, not sure, could be the way i have it configured, but the TMDB trailer scraper always seems to play the same Junglebeat trailer for 2020....I have it set to newest, but i thought there would be more variety in the trailers than just 1 new movie...so maybe that part is functioning correctly and I just need to adjust the config...but I also through it might be a breadcrumb on a possible issue. kodi.log

  10. At this point I'm not even sure where the fault is. I removed the audio bumper entry completely and i still get wonky results with tmdb trailors. another behavior it's doing is the sequence simply stopping altogether after a tmdb trailor is finished playing. Once the trailor is over it kicks me back to the kodi media library. For audio bumpers, I thought they had to be structured in the way listed below...which is how i have the folder structure for audio bumpers set up....is this incorrect? -Audio Format Bumpers -Auro-3D -Dolby Atmos -Dolby Digital -Dolby Digital Plus -Dolby TrueHD -DTS -DTS-HD Master Audio -DTS-X -Other -THX
  11. Disregard this post. I'm 99.999999% sure that it's the audio format bumper that is screwing everything up. I need to better understand how the audio format bumper works when you opt to read the audio format and play the corresponding bumper for it.
  12. I was able to capture a scenario where 1 trailer played and then off to a black screen where the video seems to play beyond it's timespan ...again, I seem to get really erratic results each time. in this case it seems to be where playing the next video bumper (audio format bumper) it seems to stall out, any intervention on my part interrupts the sequence and forces back to the library. After a bit more testing, I don't think the issue is with the tmdb scraper like i originally thought. I think it has more to do with the audio format bumper. After it gets to the bumper i get a black screen, but the after effects lead to a/v sync issues across the board within kodi. Only way I've found to correct it so far is to completely shut down kodi and start it again.
  13. I was able to replicate the issue and capture it in a log where it plays 1 trailer (configured to play 2) and froze with a black screen at the end. Video counter continued to play, but never bumped to the next video in the sequence. Bug? Uploaded my kodi log for review kodi.log
  14. @OTA Sorry for the late response, just saw this post. yes, I believe i do, it has also been set up to use the API for youtube (which was kind of a pain, but it is for sure working) Not sure if there is anything specific within the plugin that i need to configure. But it seems to have 3 different behaviors. 1. the sequence fails completely and kicks me back to the movie library. 2. Black screen- audio plays, sequence fails shortly after 3. video and audio plays for a trailer and then a sequence fails. Seems to be random on which outcome i get, but i have never been able to successfully get through a single trailer.
  15. I think I'm good to go on my situation, happy for this issue to be marked as solved. Thanks OTA for your assistance.
  16. I've enabled this trailer, but does not seem to be playing trailers once enabled during the sequence. It either skips over the trailer section, or the sequence stops completely and kicks me back to the movie library. *update/correction* after a few attempts to replay the sequence without changing any settings it seems to work...but it's flakey...for example sometimes i will get a black screen with audio playing and then after a few seconds the sequence just dies. Or it will play 1 trailer instead of 2 and jump to the next configured bumper in the sequence. or sometimes the sequence will just quit as soon as it gets to the step to start playing a trailer
  17. I have my trivia slides organized into subfolders, if you set the path at the .\trivia\ layer, it will read all, if you set it to one sub dir below, it will read only those set of slides
  18. Alright, I believe that I may have just figured it out this time. Hopefully long story short, I have about 8 sequences in total configured. I never much worried about coniditions in the past so i just left them all to default settings, which is auto select and all conditions were "ANY" on 7 of the 8 sequences. I had the thought that while setting a condition on a disney only sequence is true, another sequence set with all conditions to "ANY" may be equal or more true than a specific movie type. So i disabled auto select on all other sequences and verified that the Disney sequence can be picked up (assuming this would be true at the time because it's the only sequence that wasn't disabled). Then I picked another sequence at random and gave that one a specific condition to only play during the "action" movie genre. I tested that, and a different sequence played. So in short, I think that only 1 sequence can have the the autoselect on and conditions all set to "Any" and that would be functioning as the default sequence. Then all other sequences would have to contain a more narrow scope than all conditions being set to "Any" to be picked up automatically Would these be accurate statements?
  19. alright that's a little more seemless now, thank you for that, still only getting the default sequence to play and not conditional settings
  20. After doing some additional looking and thinking, I still don't understand what the point of setting a "condition" is if i still have to manually select CV and the sequence anyway? Even when going into the CV menu option in the movie info screen, I still have to select which sequence I want to use. Perhaps i have some documentation to read, but as of this moment, this seems like a pretty useless feature.
  21. Aeon MQ7 mod for Leia by MarcosQui Mod by Latts Ver 1.0.2.5 - 6/21/2020 Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what is Cinema Mode? But to Answer your question, I would suppose I'm just pressing "Play" as that would be the default action assigned to the selection of a movie in a library
  22. It only runs if I kick it off manually via the context menu while I'm in the library. I tried loading the default 2d sequence, setting all conditions to any and it still doesn't kick off when selecting a movie. ....Only when I am in the library, select "C' on the keyboard to bring up the context menu, select CV then play, does it kick off the sequence. Come to think of it, this has never worked automatically....so is there a plugin or something that i need to get CV to recognize the conditions? There is no errors in the logs which leads me to believe that something has not been added yet...
  23. Interesting. Ok I'll check setting it as a "tag", Thank you for checking that. *update* I tried setting the condition for a "tag" function using the tag "Sultan" as that is listed as a tag in TMM for Aladdin and I seem to get the same result?...The movie just plays as normal when selecting it from the library, no CV sequence. Maybe worth mentioning ? I'm using CV ver 1.1.1A12
  24. Thanks for the reply, no sequence plays at all when i select a movie to simply play from the library. For right now, I was only testing animation(disney movies) For example, I was testing Aladdin; which the studio is listed as "Walt Disney Pictues" , So i set the Studio condition to the same in CV. I would expect CV to play the sequence when i select Aladdin from the library without any manual selection from a context menu. Is this how it "SHOULD" work or am i misunderstanding what autoselect really means? When movies were tagged, they were done mostly via Tiny Media Manager to create the NFO file, then the movie files were scraped first to read only the local NFO file; which i believe imports the "Studio" tag...unless a tag is referred to as something else? I did another test and broadened the scope to just Any movie to play and that also did not work. ....I'm sure it's something I'm missing or not understanding here....but I really have no guesses on what it could be. Hope this helps clarify Studio name presented in movie information Selection from Studio list in CV under Condition criteria Condition criteria in CV
  25. I've been using cinemavision to simply create a sequences for a while now. I've reached a point where i want to "set it and forget it" so I have gone through my entire movie collection and tagged properly and imported the database into kodi. I've reached the stage where I have set up a new CV sequence to only play when (for example) Disney movies, action movies, comedy movies, etc, are selected, CV pics the correct sequence based off of the genre or studio. My issue is that I've set the "autoselect" option to on" and set the condition in the menu to kick off based on the previously mentioned criteria. But this doesn't seem to work? ..... the only way i can get a sequence to kick off is by selecting "c" to get the context menu to come up, selecting Cinemavision, then choosing the sequence. Am I missing something somewhere or misunderstanding how this works? I thought the autoselect option would just kick off after the movie is selected in the Kodi library?
