I just started making motion posters and had a few questions for those that use them. I assume most will want to use the posters in .mp4 format as opposed to .gif to have the best picture quality possible. With .gif the length the poster is displayed can be adjusted by the user. With .mp4 the length the poster is displayed is determined by how long the video is, unless the movie poster app has a specific setting for .mp4 posters I am not aware of. If the .mp4 is displaying a looping animation like a cinemagraph how long would you like the poster to be display? I was thinking one minute as this is the default setting in the movie poster app for still images. Just as an FYI I've been making the posters 569x1005 pixels as 569 accommodates a Blu-Ray frame's height without the black bars and leaves another 1/4 of the poster bare for the movie credits or logo to be placed. Making the height 1080 would require I stretch the frame by nearly double, which would be a loss in quality. I've looked for some motion poster standards, if they are out there I have not run across them as of yet. The last thing I just started doing is making posters with a still poster taking up the upper 3/4's and the movies trailer playing on the lower 1/4. I believe the movie poster app can do this as well just not sure how well it looks. Is this something you all would be interested in having available or is the apps option good enough? Thanks in advance for any input
